For the past two years, we have been making your HTPC and Linux Home Server administration easier by writing several simple tutorials at www.LinuXplained.com. LinuXplained (or LinuX eXplained) is a free Linux home server resource site. LinuXplained was originally founded in April 2010 by Anand. The main goal of this site was to provide quality tutorials, news, and reviews on Linux Home Servers, HTPC, Media Players, Windows, Android, and WordPress Blogging that allow Linux home server enthusiasts to maximize their servers potential and use. You may have been one of the many avid followers of LinuXplained.
Journey Continues
Over the course of 2013 we realized that, like us, our visitors also have huge interest in home theaters and many of them are beginners who do not know where to start. We realized that there is need for a HTPC and Home Server beginner's / newbie's website that brings it all together. So today, March 19th, 2014, we moved to www.smarthomebeginner.com to better reflect our future interest and focus.
Moving on we will focus on bringing you HTPC and Home Server resources to truly network your home and enjoy media streaming, download management, and network storage. Every now and then, we will also provide relevant content such WordPress and Blogging tips to encourage our visitors to extend their home server by running websites and blogs from home. The main goal will be to provide good Home Server and HTPC beginners guides, tutorials, tips, news, and product reviews.
htpcBeginner.com
The new name, htpcBeginner, better reflects the direction in which we are heading, and let us face it's a better domain name than LinuXplained.com. And so htpcBeginner is born! This year we will be slowly transitioning from LinuXplained to htpcBeginner. Our previously published guides will be updated and moved to htpcBeginner.
We have been working very hard on improving your experience on htpcBeginner.com and bringing you few new things to you. With this massive re-branding effort we switched a new responsive theme, based on News Pro Theme from StudioPress, that adapts to the best possible view depending on the device you are viewing the site from. Few more cool things to come.
Exciting times are ahead of us and we look forward to receiving your continued support.
