10 Best Plex Unofficial Channels 2017: Movies, TV Shows, Live TV

We talked about Plex unofficial channels previously in our 2016 Plex Unofficial Channels List. Plex is becoming one of the top media sources for many users. And considering that a lot of people now own Smart TVs that support Plex, this eliminates the need of a separate box for running it. So I decided to publish an expanded and updated list of best unofficial channels for Plex in 2017. Let's dive right in and see what are the best Plex unofficial channels 2017.

1. WebTools - base for installing best Plex unofficial channels 2017

We start our journey into the best Plex unofficial channels 2017 list with WebTools. This is the first channel we need to install because it enables you to install the rest of the channels without any hassles. In order to install WebTools, we first need to download the latest version of WebTools from Github by clicking the WebTools.bundle.zip link. After downloading the file, unzip it and copy the WebTools.bundle folder into the following location:

• Windows: %LOCALAPPDATA%\Plex Media Server\Plug-ins
• Linux: $PLEX_HOME/Library/Application Support/Plex Media Server/Plug-ins

3. BringThePopcorn

BringThePopcorn is another great unofficial channel for Movies. It offers a good variety of Movies but it is not updated as often as other channels. Sometimes you may not find the latest Movie or TV Show episode but BringThePopcorn makes up for this by having a good list of older movies not present in other channels.

4. cCloud TV

cCloud is a Plex channel made for live TV but it also sports Movies, TV Shows and Radio. I mainly use cCloud for streaming Live TV because it offers a wide variety of TV Channels that work. You may stumble upon some TV Channels that don't load from time to time, but this is normal, and I am yet to find a complete Live TV service that works 100% of the time. You can also use your own m3u or cCloudTV style url/file which is a great feature allowing you to stream your custom list of channels, making cCloud TV one of the best Plex channels for Live TV.

Another good choice in the Plex channels for movies section is FMoviesPlus. It has fast sources with 1080p content, a clean and simple UI and it also includes DumbKeyboard for search-impaired clients. Besides that, FMoviesPlus offers detailed information about the Movie and TV Show episode and the ability to create bookmarks. 6. Full Movies on Reddit

Redditors probably know about /r/fullmoviesonyoutube. This subreddit hosts a lot of links to full Movies available on Youtube. The Full Movies on Reddit channel grabs those links and presents them in Plex, in order for you to enjoy them from the comfort of your Plex instance. Most of the media available is 720p or lower, and don't expect box-office Movies here, but it is a good channel nevertheless hosting old movies.

7. g2g.fm

The quality is really good, and I like that on each Movie there is a "Watch Trailer" link, in order to check if you want to see the movie or not. Lihat TV is one of the unofficial Plex channels for Live TV that has a wide range of Live TV channels available for streaming. You can search for channels by the shortcuts available in the main page, in order to list your channels by Genres or Countries. You can also bookmark your favorite channels in the My Bookmarks section. Unfortunately, the thumbnails use a generic icon which makes them a bit harder to see, but LihatTV makes it up by offering a lot of good TV channels.
